Our Mission
Education in Pakistan
Importance of Education in Islam can be gauged by the fact that very First WAHI called upon our prophet (PBUH) was to "READ". UN Millennium summit set eight goals. One of the most important being is to achieve universal Primary Education. Pakistan is a developing nation with burgeoning population budgetary allocation has not been sufficient. With 2% or less of GDP allocation on the most important denominator for lack of progress and development, is not sufficient to build an educated and skilled society. Keeping this in view our NGO has started a pilot project on a limited basis. It consists of supply of stationary books to students of academic excellence who otherwise lack financial resource for its purchase. Feasibility study was carried out and response from schools located in the outlying areas was very very positive. We are continuing campaign for funds and if we succeed it may include other stationary items also.

Corruption in Pakistan
Each successive Government has raised hue and cry against corruption in our country but none have proposed any effective remedy. Due to Lack of development and progress Pakistan has been ranked tenth most failed state. There is no denying that it has penetrated in all spheres of our society. As a consequent we have lost our credibility and trust among comity of nations. According to transparency international (T I) Pakistan has advanced Corruption perception index (C P I) by eight places.

FOCUS PAKISTAN has tken a very serious note of this menace and we are putting all efforts to bring awareness among civil society through our discussions, seminars and interaction with media. Our seminar Titled CORRUPTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY in May 2010 was highly acclaimed by the audience . Well informed panel consisted of past NAB directors and legal brains to bring the issues in forefront. In continuation of our efforts another seminar is planned to search solutions to control the rampant spread of this menace. People who believe in "self correction" theory have only to look at rising poverty, illiteracy and failure of governance. We believe lack of accountability, and punishment are the main obstacles in rooting out institunalised corruption from our society.
